Asadessa is a documentary about the movement of the villagers in building their own information and telecommunication infrastructure. This film contains a very contextual messages with recent trends lively, namely the conversation about smart village, smart city, smart community, smart ecosystem, and others.
In the middle of the experts who babble about theory be smart, some villages run its own initiative. They do not know the theory of change. They are driven by the needs and demands of the times, that the village should be an example of good governance, accountable, transparent, and effective. With the support of volunteers from the Village Movement and Volunteers Build ICT, these villages run initiatives in cooperation.
But in the villages that builds on itself. There are still some villages untouched telecommunications infrastructure. A village in North Borneo still hoping the government and the business sector to build telecommunications networks in the region. Expectations as if there might be achieved if only the business sector investment cost-benefit consideration.
