Selain itu melalui penyelenggaraan acara ini juga diharapkan dapat menjadi ruang untuk mendorong proses pembentukan sejumlah kebijakan di Indonesia, untuk perlindungan hak atas privasi, seperti UU Perlindungan Data Pribadi dan UU Intersepsi Komunikasi.
